Matthew Barnes leads strategic planning for our client engagements. He is good at connecting dots and is well versed in best practices around philanthropy and executive positioning. Splitting time between New York, Newark and Park City, he spends a lot of hours at our clients’ offices. His comments and analysis on strategic philanthropy and executive positioning have appeared in the New York Times, Forbes, Campaign & Elections, Philanthropie Aktuel (Switzerland) and Radar. Matthew is a member of the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning and Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy.

Heather Grizzle works from London and Newark and utilizes her extensive experience in media relations, messaging, and strategic planning to craft philanthropy programs and strategic communications for both individual and corporate clients. A former Harvard Crimson columnist, as well as press secretary and communications director in the public affairs space, she oversees our clients’ writing needs, including op-eds and white papers.

Michelle Armstrong leads client engagement and is our "go to" on philanthropic evaluation assignments, deep-dive analysis and strategic planning. A graduate of Harvard and Columbia, she is a seasoned veteran in corporate philanthropy, previously serving as Vice President of the Goldman Sachs Foundation and the education program officer at MetLife Foundation. Prior to work in philanthropy, Michelle evaluated projects on small school reform, early college awareness and teacher retention funded by College Board, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, New York City Department of Education and W.K. Kellogg Foundation. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from Columbia in Sociology & Education.

Michael Inganamort is a principal at ASG and manages targeted, effective communications and advocacy campaigns in the public policy sphere, drawing on his experience in politics in Washington, DC and New Jersey. He makes sure the trains run on time, and that our clients’ messages are consistently and deliberately reaching their target audiences. Based in Newark, Mike is usually out in the field building coalitions of affinity groups, voters and neighbors. He graduated magna cum laude from American University and holds a masters from Georgetown.

Aaron Regush is a Senior Strategic Advisor to ASG Advisors for community oriented investing and philanthropy. He understands the process of developing an effective Community Investment Act (“CRA”) strategy. He brings experience with socially responsible investments in private equity, tax credits, direct lending, CRA funds, grant making and community service. For these products, he has led the development of CRA, financial, risk and workflow management tools. Currently, he is Vice-Chairman for the Strategic Advisory Board at Rising Tide Capital, a 501(c).3 corporation dedicated to the training of entrepreneurs from disadvantaged circumstances. Aaron previously worked as CRA Portfolio Manager for the Urban Investment Group at Goldman Sachs in addition to other senior operating and technology management roles he held at the firm. Aaron holds a Master of Science from Carnegie Mellon University.
